The AHŞAP MOBİLYA team at CIFF Shanghai 2026
Our team worked at the China International Furniture Fair in Shanghai: new furniture and hardware, supplier meetings and factory visits.
From 5 to 8 September 2026, Shanghai hosted the China International Furniture Fair — CIFF Shanghai, one of the largest furniture exhibitions in the world. The AHŞAP MOBİLYA team was on site.
About the fair
CIFF Shanghai takes place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in the Hongqiao district. This year the exhibition covered more than 300,000 square metres and brought together around 1,500 brands. The programme was built around three pillars — design, digital technology and sustainability. The show floor is divided into sectors: home furniture and design, urban outdoor living, office and commercial space furniture, intelligent manufacturing, and the integration of furnishing with building solutions.
Why an FF&E contractor attends
We buy materials and components directly from manufacturers and work with a partner network across Turkey and China. Catalogues and correspondence are no substitute for direct contact: at a fair you can handle the material, see how a mechanism actually works, compare a dozen solutions back to back, and discuss terms on the spot with the people who make them.
What we looked at
The focus was on new furniture and hardware. In contract projects hardware matters more than it appears: runners, hinges, transformation mechanisms and edge banding are what determine how furniture survives a hotel duty cycle.
Suppliers and factories
A separate part of the trip was meeting new suppliers and visiting production facilities. A fair is useful for the first round of selection; a factory visit shows what a stand cannot — the real equipment on the lines, the quality control, the consistency of a repeatable result. That is the criterion by which we decide whether to trust a partner with project volume.
